- A shaft drive bicycle uses a fully-encased carbon steel shaft in place of the chain to turn the rear wheel. Unlike a chain, it will not rust, fall off, or work loose.
- Yes. Swell Bike tires are tubeless, honeycomb rubber tires that require no air, so they will never go flat.
- Yes — every Swell fleet is custom, from frame color and logos to saddle stitching. You can also add your phone number or other graphics, protected by a UV-protective top coat. Fleet orders are $575 per bike, fully customized, with a 100-bike minimum.
- Swell Bike removes the common failure points of a traditional cruiser: the chain becomes a fully-encased shaft drive, air-filled tires become airless honeycomb rubber, and rim-brake cables give way to a coaster brake. Stainless steel hardware is used throughout.
- The encased shaft drive only requires greasing twice a year, and the airless tires never need air. Maintenance happens on your schedule.
- Swell Bike builds custom fleets for hotels, resorts, vacation rental agencies and similar operators, with a 100-bike minimum order. Single Swell bikes are $799, available only while current inventory lasts. For single bikes, our sister brand Beach Bike offers The Cruiser with a Dayco belt drive.
